Over 100.000 travelers locked up at Shanghai Pudong Airport after possible Covid-19 break-out

SHANGHAI, CHINA – Chaos erupted last night at Shanghai Pudong Airport in China after a worker tested positive for Covid-19 prompting officials to order airport-wide testing, witnesses claim.

After authorities called out that no one could leave the airport without being tested, chaos broke out. Hazmat suit-clad staff were filmed herding a huge crowd into a basement area inside Shanghai Pudong International Airport in the country’s financial hub

Other videos showed people attempting to make a break for freedom.

Shanghai is China’s biggest city with a population of about 24 million. China’s lockdowns during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis were so strict they were descibed as ‘Wartime measures’.
