Kenner, Louisiana — Watch the dangerous moment electric sparks flying via power lines in Kenner, Louisiana.

On Twitter someone shared his thoughts about what happened:
“My theory is, there is a very high voltage difference between 2 of the wires, one energized by the sky and the other one grounded. The voltage (pressure) is high enough that electricity can literally flow through air, which creates superheated plasma between the wires which creates a path for more electricity, creating a chain reaction. I think when the plasma “moves” along the wires, it’s because it’s vaporizing them, effectively shortening the wire, then it happens again for a different wire, and so on.

For it to sustain like that it’s (the plasma heat) gotta be over 10,000°F. Crazy amount of energy.” — ATEK ʙʟᴍ
