The Hague, The Netherlands - While setting off your own fireworks on New Year’s Eve is usually a common tradition in the Netherlands, because of Covid-19 controversial Prime Minister Mark Rutte banned selling pyrotechnics for the 2020-2021 festivities.
About this video
Despite the call from Rutte, many citizens went to the streets to celebrate the end of year with family and friends anyway. In this video, some revelers from a neighborhood near the Hague placed a huge firework box in the middle of a street, when a furious neighbor steps on to the scene and tries - and fails - to put out the already lit firework box, causing a life-threatening situation for the whole nabe.
